Award Winning Thrift Stores…

Our thrift stores are the life blood of Soul’s Harbor. They sustain our day-to-day operations and keep our mission alive. They also provide a platform for our residents to strengthen their recovery in real life situations.

The thrift stores also provide a direct reflection of the strength of our community at Soul’s Harbor. When we are succeeding in our recovery, the stores succeed. When our resident’s personal connections with God are strong, our stores flourish as a result. And the more our stores flourish, the more future services we can provide for those in need. This is the cycle of goodness that we harbor.

So, it is with deep gratitude and honor that we announce both our Ennis and Waxahachie stores received “Best of Awards” in their respective cities. Each was voted on by the customers we serve. We at Soul’s Harbor would like to extend a humble thank you to our customers and donors. And while we are grateful for the validation, we will strive to get better as we walk in God’s light and do the next right thing.

Delivering the Word and Preaching the Word...

Mark Higgins is a Soul’s Harbor Board Member who also volunteers his time to preach the Word of God to the residents of Soul’s Harbor. Mondays at 6:30 PM, for a month, Mark braved Dallas traffic so that the men of Soul’s Harbor could hear the teachings of Jesus Christ. Aside from being a board member, Mark is a retired house remodeler.

Mark is also in a battle with cancer, and we all extend our prayers out to him and his family so that he may make it through with God’s grace.

Another thank you goes out to Kathryn Woodmansee for donating over 70 NKJV Bibles for the men to use both during Mark’s classes and for their own daily personal use. Kathryn has donated bibles many times to the Harbor, and we all owe her our heartfelt thanks for her continued support.

Without the support of God and the good people He works through, our community wouldn’t be able to help those in need of recovery.
